What's inside

Two daily soft-gel capsules provide omega 3 fish oil (EPA and DHA), lutein and zeaxanthin from marigold extract, Vaccinium myrtillus L. (bilberry) extract, plus vitamin A as retinyl palmitate, vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol and zinc as zinc bisglycinate. The capsule shell is bovine gelatine and the product contains fish.

Why this combination

Magnesium L-Threonate is the magnesium form most studied for its delivery to the brain. Phosphatidylserine is a phospholipid found naturally in brain cell membranes. Sharp PS® is the standardised version commonly used in supplements. B5 and vitamin C provide additional support and D3 is included for overall daily nutrition. Phosphatidylserine has no authorised EU health claim.

How to take

Adults aged 11 and over: take 2 soft-gel capsules daily with meals. The 60-capsule pack provides a 30-day supply. If you take blood-thinning medication or are pregnant or breastfeeding or take other regular medication, consult your GP or pharmacist before use.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are lutein and zeaxanthin?
Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoid pigments found naturally in the macula of the eye and in foods like leafy greens, sweetcorn and egg yolks. As supplement ingredients, they are usually sourced from marigold flowers. Neither has an authorised EU health claim, so they are described factually in Oculioon.
Why is Oculioon a soft-gel rather than a tablet?
Soft-gel capsules are typically used for fat-soluble ingredients such as fish oil and fat-soluble vitamins (A and D). The format also makes the capsule easier to swallow for some people compared with a hard tablet. Two soft-gels per day deliver the daily dose of all actives.
Is Oculioon suitable for vegetarians?
No. Oculioon contains fish oil and uses a bovine gelatine capsule shell, so it is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. For plant-based eye support, look for a separate algae-derived DHA, a lutein and zeaxanthin supplement and a multivitamin covering vitamin A and zinc.
Can children take Oculioon?
Oculioon is for adults and children aged 11 and over at the standard daily dose of 2 capsules with meals. For children under 11, consult your GP or paediatrician before use. The product contains fish, which is a recognised allergen.
Can I take Oculioon with other supplements?
Check the labels of other supplements you take. Oculioon already includes fish oil, vitamin A, vitamin D3 and zinc, so adding a separate omega 3 or multivitamin could exceed the daily upper levels for these nutrients. If you take a basic multivitamin, decide which to keep based on your overall daily routine.
