About TabHealthcare

What makes TabHealthcare supplements different?

TabHealthcare specialises in combination supplements that bring together multiple ingredients in a single daily tablet. Unlike most single-ingredient products that require three or four capsules to cover one health goal, our formulas pair patented, highly bioavailable nutrients so each tablet covers more ground for your routine

Where are TabHealthcare supplements made?

TabHealthcare supplements are manufactured by Tab Ilac, a GMP-certified facility co-owned by Dr Elif Pahsa and Aytekin Pahsa. The company was founded in 2011 and has steadily grown its facility and product range. Every TabHealthcare product is imported and supplied within the UK by TabHealthcare Ltd.

Who formulates TabHealthcare supplements?

All TabHealthcare formulas are developed by Dr Elif Pahsa, a practising functional medicine doctor and recognised expert in magnesium. She has authored a bestselling book on the subject and has spent years studying how supplement ingredients work in combination. Dr Pahsa leads the science behind every product in our range.

Are TabHealthcare supplements GMP-certified?

Yes. Every TabHealthcare supplement is manufactured at Tab Ilac's GMP-certified facility, which has been audited and certified to the relevant Good Manufacturing Practice standards. GMP certification covers manufacturing hygiene, ingredient handling, batch consistency and quality control. The full list of TabHealthcare's certifications is on our quality standards page.

Ingredients and quality

What does bioavailable mean in a supplement?

Bioavailability refers to how much of a nutrient your body can absorb and put to use. The form of an ingredient matters as much as the dose. Patented forms like ATA Mg® and magnesium bisglycinate are selected because they have superior absorption profiles compared to basic forms such as magnesium oxide.

What is ATA Mg®?

ATA Mg® is the trade name for Magnesium N-acetyltaurinate, a patented form of magnesium developed for high bioavailability. It is one of the magnesium forms used in Magnimore Plus, alongside magnesium bisglycinate and magnesium malate. Each form is selected for its specific absorption profile and role in the body.

Why combination supplements over single-ingredient capsules?

Many nutrients work more effectively when taken together rather than in isolation. A single daily tablet that combines what would otherwise take three or four products simplifies the routine and tends to be more cost-effective over the year. Every TabHealthcare formula is built on this principle.

Are TabHealthcare supplements suitable for vegans or vegetarians?

This varies by product. Some TabHealthcare supplements such as those containing omega-3 from fish or krill are not suitable for vegans, while others are. Each product page lists its specific ingredients and any animal-derived components. Please check the relevant product page before ordering.

Taking supplements

When should I take a TabHealthcare supplement?

Timing varies by product. Magnimore Plus is typically taken as one to two tablets, two hours after breakfast. Other products have specific instructions on their packaging and product page. As a general rule, take your supplement at the time you'll most consistently remember it each day.

Should I take TabHealthcare supplements with food or on an empty stomach?

This depends on the product. Magnimore Plus is best taken on a partially-empty stomach for optimal absorption, while some other formulas perform better with food. Specific guidance is on each product label and product page. If you're unsure, check the label or get in touch with us before taking.

Can I take TabHealthcare supplements every day?

Yes, TabHealthcare supplements are designed for daily use. Magnimore Plus and other products can be taken indefinitely as part of a daily routine, provided there are no contraindications. As with any supplement, if you have an existing health condition or take prescribed medication, speak with your GP or pharmacist first.

Are there any contraindications?

Magnesium-based supplements should be used with caution by people with advanced chronic kidney disease (renal insufficiency) and certain other conditions. If you have a diagnosed health condition or take regular medication, please consult your GP or pharmacist before starting any new supplement.

Are TabHealthcare supplements safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Some supplements are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, while others may be advisable. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive, please consult your GP or midwife before starting any new supplement. Each product label includes the relevant safety information for your reference.

Can children take TabHealthcare supplements?

TabHealthcare supplements are formulated for adults and are not recommended for children under 18 without specific guidance from a healthcare professional. If you are considering a supplement for a child, please consult your GP or paediatrician first to confirm the right form and dose for their age.

Can I take TabHealthcare alongside other food supplements?

TabHealthcare supplements use highly bioavailable forms and generally work well alongside other food supplements. Taking multiple supplements at the same time is fine for most people, though some prefer to space them out by an hour or so. Always check individual product labels for any specific guidance.

Can I take TabHealthcare alongside prescribed medication?

In most cases yes, but there are exceptions. Magnesium can interfere with the absorption of bisphosphonate medications used for osteoporosis, so these should be taken at least one hour apart. If you take any regular medication, please consult your GP or pharmacist before starting a new supplement.

How long until I notice a difference?

This varies by product and by person. Some people notice changes within a few weeks, while others take longer. Supplements work alongside a balanced diet, and consistency over weeks and months tends to give the clearest picture of how a product is suiting your routine.
