What's inside

One tablet provides the full B-vitamin complex: thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6) as pyridoxal-5-phosphate or pyridoxine hydrochloride, biotin (B7), folate (B9) as either folic acid or methylfolate, and vitamin B12 as cyanocobalamin or methylcobalamin. The capsule or tablet excipients follow standard supplement formulation.

Why this combination

B vitamins work together in the body and are commonly taken as a complex rather than individually. All eight carry authorised health claims at the standard daily dose. The standard claims include normal energy-yielding metabolism (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, biotin), reduction of tiredness and fatigue (B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, folate), normal functioning of the nervous system, and normal psychological function.

How to take

Adults and children aged 11 and over: take 1 tablet daily with water, preferably with a meal. The pack provides a one-month supply at one tablet daily. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding (folate is often recommended at higher doses during pregnancy), take regular medication or have a health condition, consult your GP or pharmacist before use.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why take all eight B vitamins together?
B vitamins work together in the body's energy-producing and nervous system pathways. Each plays a role that complements the others. A B-complex covers all eight at meaningful doses, which is simpler than taking individual B vitamins separately. The eight together provide a foundation for the body's daily B-vitamin needs.
What is the difference between folic acid and methylfolate?
Folic acid is the synthetic form of folate used in most standard supplements. Methylfolate is the active form the body uses. The body converts folic acid to methylfolate, but this conversion is slower in people with the MTHFR gene variant. Methylated forms skip the conversion step. Check the label for the specific form used in B Complex.
Can I get too much B vitamins?
B vitamins are water-soluble, which means excess intake is excreted in urine rather than stored. This makes B vitamins generally safe at supplement doses. However, very high doses of B6 (above 200mg daily for long periods) can cause nerve symptoms, and high B3 (niacin) can cause flushing. Stick to the recommended daily intake.
Is B Complex suitable for vegetarians?
The B vitamins themselves are suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Vitamin B12 in supplement form is typically produced by bacterial fermentation, not from animal sources. The tablet or capsule shell and excipients may or may not be vegan. check the current pack to confirm.
Do I need a B Complex if I take a multivitamin?
If your multivitamin covers all eight B vitamins at meaningful doses, a separate B Complex would add to your daily intake. For most people, one B-vitamin source is enough. If you take a multivitamin that's light on B vitamins, a B Complex can fill the gap. Check the labels of both products to compare doses.
