Why this combination

OsteoZinc Plus uses a two-part format because the bone-support minerals (calcium and magnesium and zinc) need water-based tablet delivery, while omega-3 and the fat-soluble vitamins work best in soft-gel form. How to take

Adults and children aged 11 and over: take 2 tablets plus 1 soft-gel capsule daily with a meal and a full glass of water. Store in a cool dry place below 25°C. Why is OsteoZinc Plus split into tablets and soft-gel?

The split format allows each part to deliver its actives in the right form. The tablets carry the minerals (calcium, magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese, boron, selenium, vitamin K2 and vitamin D3) in a form suited to tablet delivery. The soft-gel carries the fish oil and the fat-soluble vitamin C plus soy isoflavones in oil form for better absorption of the omega-3.

What's the total daily vitamin D3 across both parts?

The tablets provide 400 IU (10µg) and the soft-gel provides 600 IU (15µg), giving a combined daily intake of 1000 IU (25µg). This is 500% of the NRV. Vitamin D is a key nutrient for bone maintenance, and the higher dose reflects the UK Department of Health guidance for autumn and winter supplementation.

Why are soy isoflavones included?

Soy isoflavones are plant compounds (genistein, daidzein) found naturally in soybeans. They are commonly included in supplements aimed at bone health, particularly for women after menopause, though they do not have an authorised EU health claim. OsteoZinc Plus includes 60mg of soy isoflavones in the soft-gel.

Can I take OsteoZinc Plus with my other supplements?

No. The soft-gel capsule contains fish oil and uses a gelatine capsule shell, so OsteoZinc Plus is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. For a plant-based bone-support routine, look for a separate calcium-and-mineral tablet plus an algae-derived DHA supplement.

Can I take OsteoZinc Plus with warfarin?

Consult your GP first. OsteoZinc Plus contains vitamin K2 (75µg per daily dose), which can affect how warfarin works. Anyone on blood-thinning medication should not start any vitamin K supplement without medical input. The fish oil component may also affect bleeding times.
